JACKPOT: Mega Millions Winner Claims $1.6 Billion

The winner of a record-breaking $1.6 billion Mega Millions jackpot from August has finally come forward to claim his prize.

The ticket was sold at a Publix in Neptune Beach, Florida. The winner's name is legally protected until December when the Florida Lottery can decide whether to publicize it. They opted for the cash prize of $783,300,000 and the Publix that sold the ticket received a $100,000 bonus commission. (Yahoo News)

•      Meanwhile, no one won the Powerball jackpot drawing on Wednesday night, meaning that prize has climbed to $925 million, which is the fourth-largest in the history of the lottery game.
