Parents wish Kids learned the Value of a Dollar!

Money math … If you've ever asked a math teacher why you need to learn the material when you'll never use it in real life, you are not alone. A new survey finds that the majority of parents agree and believe kids should be learning math that will help in their lives, especially financial math. More than a third of parents surveyed worry that their kids don't understand the value of a dollar. 82% said they believe that children should be taught financial literacy and money management skills in schools, and it should start before kids become teenagers. 64% of parents say they try to teach their kids about money at home by starting a piggy bank, comparing prices at stores, giving them allowances, and having real financial discussions with them.
