What’s your vacation budget?

A new survey found that the average American sets their vacation budget limit at $2,743. However, 16% of those surveyed said they wouldn’t spend more than $1000 on a vacation. In addition, 55% of respondents said to save money they would vacation domestically this year. But even when money is tight, vacations are important to people. The survey found that Americans prioritize saving up for travel (53%) more than for hobbies (29%), retirement savings (24%), or home improvements (24%).

Back-to-school shopping … It may still be July, but many parents are already getting ready for back-to-school expenses. The average parent will spend $489 on school supplies this year, according to a new survey. 50% of the parents surveyed said they plan to save money by buying school supplies earlier than usual.
